Formula 1 returns this weekend with the seventh round of the 2021 championship. The traditional Paul Ricard circuit, which receives the biggest series in world motorsport for the 17th time in its history, also returns, as last year France was one of the countries passed over by the category because of the pandemic. The stage marks the return of F1 to a non-urban circuit, after the last two races in Monaco and Baku. With this, some changes can be seen after the last two events that have their own characteristics, and that will be useful when deciding on a bet.

Since the return of the French GP in 2018, Mercedes has commanded the actions in Paul Ricard, with two wins for Lewis Hamilton, followed by two poles. The time of the German manufacturer's team is not the best, but with a ‘friendly’ place for the team, an old routine can happen again on the first day of practice, on Friday. Valtteri Bottas can command the first free practice, even if after that he is overtaken by Red Bull or his teammate. Best of FP1: Valtteri Bottas

Ferrari is in full recovery, compared to the 2020 season, a championship in which it was only sixth in the Constructors' World Championship. Except for his home race, whose car problems prevented him from starting, Charles Leclerc has completed every race so far in the top six. In France, he must keep this. Top-6: Charles Leclerc

Another driver who is going through a good time is Lando Norris, fourth in the championship and who has scored in all races so far. The Englishman achieved two podiums, Imola and Monaco, and his worst result was eighth place in Spain. The McLaren driver has a particular fight with Leclerc and must keep to score in the championship and keep the Monegasque company. Top-6: Lando Norris
