The Spanish GP is already a reality and this Friday the first two free practice sessions took place for this Sunday's race. Mercedes showed good performance and led the first sessions, with Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton. After watching how each one did, the Brazilian team set a few more tips for those who are going to bet on the rest of the weekend:

If there was any doubt about the reaction power of Mercedes at the beginning of the year, it no longer exists. The seven-time world champion team dominated the first practice sessions and should remain so this Saturday. Lewis Hamilton seeks the 100th pole position of his career and in Spain it should be the place where he will celebrate such an achievement. Pole Position: Lewis Hamilton

The biggest symbol of Alpine's recovery is not Fernando Alonso, but Esteban Ocon. The Frenchman was fourth fastest in the main practice of the day, filling the team’s fans with hope. He may not be on the podium, but he should be among the first on Sunday. Top-6: Esteban Ocon

Ferrari almost managed to place their two drivers in the top-10 at the Portuguese GP last week, when an unfortunate strategy caused Carlos Sainz to lose performance in the end, which made him finish 11th. The most popular F1 team is expected to maintain a good pace this Sunday, with these small mistakes duly corrected. Top-10 with both cars: Ferrari
