Formula 1 Portugal Grand Prix 2021 - after practice

The cars of the biggest series in the world went to the track of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portugal, for the first two free practice sessions for the Portuguese GP. The Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton led the practice, but there were no major differences in time for Max Verstappen's Red Bull. After the first working day of the weekend, the Brazilian Motorsport.com team selected more tips for the weekend's bets.

Lewis Hamilton seeks the 100th pole position of his career and managed to be the fastest in the second free practice. Despite that, his scoring was not the best than that of his teammate, Valtteri Bottas, in FP1. But the practice session in which the Englishman was the fastest coincides with the schedule of the qualifying session on Saturday, which may give him a certain favoritism.Pole Position: Lewis Hamilton

Despite being in second place in both free practice sessions on Friday, Max Verstappen cannot be dismissed as one of the favorites for victory on Sunday. In Imola he was not dominant and, even so, he managed to win. The Dutchman can still get more out of his car on Sunday, mainly at a racing pace. Victory: Max Verstappen

Speaking of race pace, the same concept as Red Bull can be applied to Sergio Pérez, who has shown good performance since the red lights are turned off. With the improvement of the Austrian team in 2021, it is always good to imagine that he will be on the podium. Top-3: Sergio Pérez
