Sheff Utd vs. Man Utd – Can the Visitors Extend Their 100% Away Record?

Man Utd will aim to heap more misery on bottom club Sheff Utd when they head to Brammal Lane for a Premier League clash on Thursday night.

The Blades have made the worst start to a Premier League season in history, with zero wins, a solitary draw and 11 defeats from 12 games.

Their confidence is shot to pieces and they now look certain to be relegated. Sheff Utd have scored just one goal in their last four matches, and they are struggling at the back, so they are unlikely to beat the Red Devils this week.

Solskjaer Feels the Heat

This game provides Man Utd with a great opportunity to return to winning ways. They won four league matches on the bounce before holding Man City to a 0-0 draw at the weekend.

They have struggled in Europe this season, but their league form is pretty impressive right now.

Yet Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job is still on the line following defeats to PSG and RB Leipzig in the Champions League, so he will be desperate for his team to win this game.

Victory would see them leapfrog Chelsea and move within a couple of points of the league leaders. They should have enough creativity and firepower to get the job done.

The Away Kings

Sheff Utd games have seen an average of 2.17 goals this season. That is the second lowest in the league, ahead of only Arsenal.

Man Utd games see a lot more goals – 3.27 on average, which is the fourth highest in the Premier League.

Their away games are especially high-scoring affairs, but no Sheff Utd home match this season has seen more than three goals, so this is likely to point to a relatively tight and cagey contest.

Man Utd have won all five away games so far this season, whereas Sheff Utd have lost five of six at Brammal Lane, scoring just twice in the process.

Tip: Man Utd to win and under 4.5 goals

Stake: One unit
