Leicester will aim to bounce back from last weekend’s humbling defeat to Liverpool when they host Fulham at the King Power on Monday night.

The Foxes were in terrific form before that chastening defeat. They had rattled off seven consecutive victories in all competitions and climbed to the top of the Premier League table.

They were no match for the champions on Sunday, as they were thoroughly outplayed in a 3-0 defeat, but this game against Fulham provides them with the perfect opportunity to swiftly return to winning ways.

A Struggling Side

It has been a miserable season thus far for the Cottagers. They are 18th in the table after losing seven of their first nine matches.

Missed penalties have cost them dearly. Ademola Lookman made a mess of a Panenka penalty in their 1-0 defeat to West Ham a couple of weeks ago, and then Ivan Cavaleiro missed from the spot in a 3-2 loss to Everton last time out.

Fulham have the joint worse defensive record in the league. They did not invest much in the squad after securing promotion from the Championship last term, and it shows.

They may cause a few problems for Leicester’s defence on Monday night, but it is hard to see them coping with Jamie Vardy and co.

Vardy Looks Sharp

Leicester’s talisman has eight goals in nine games so far this season. He has the pace, movement and finishing ability to wreak havoc upon Fulham.

James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Youri Tielemans form a strong supporting cast, and you would expect Leicester to win the midfield battle.

Brendan Rodgers has plenty of options if he needs to mix things up, as Cengiz Under and Kelechi Iheanacho can come off the bench and try to unlock the Fulham defence.

He is a far more accomplished manager than opposite number Scott Parker, and his Leicester side really should prevail in this game.

Tip: Leicester to win and over 1.5 goals
