Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland should be licking his lips at the prospect of facing a struggling Koln defence on Saturday.

The Norwegian superstar has made a stunning impact since joining the club from Red Bull Salzburg in January.

He came off the bench to score a hat-trick in a 5-3 victory over Augsburg on his debut. His second appearance came against Koln, when he came on in the 65th minute and then scored twice to help his team secure a 5-1 victory.

Haaland is now firmly established as the first name on the Borussia Dortmund team sheet, having scored 17 goals in 13 games already this season, and he should be able to put Koln to the sword this weekend.

An Exciting Attack

Borussia Dortmund have made a pretty strong start to the campaign, with six wins and two defeats from eight Bundesliga games.

They are second in the table, just a point behind champions Bayern Munich. They beat Hertha Berlin 5-2 last weekend, with Haaland scoring four goals, and he was on target twice in a routine 3-0 victory over Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Manager Lucien Favre will also be pleased to see English winger Jadon Sancho returning to form, while youngsters Jude Bellingham and Giovanni Reyna are progressing nicely.

Koln's Struggles Continue

This exciting young Dortmund side should have too much quality for Koln to handle.

Koln are marooned in the relegation zone after taking zero wins, three draws and five defeats from eight games thus far.

They are rarely thrashed, but they are pretty sloppy at the back, which is dangerous when you are up against a predator like Haaland.

Dortmund beat Koln 3-1 and 5-1 last season, and they should be able to win this one by two goals or more.
