Man Utd vs. Chelsea – Premier League Heavyweights Clash at Old Trafford

Man Utd will bid to maintain their superb form against Chelsea when they tangle with Frank Lampard’s men at Old Trafford on Saturday.

They beat Chelsea 4-0 at home and 2-0 on the road last season, which allowed them to finish narrowly above the Blues in the table. However, Chelsea exacted sweet revenge when they clinched a 3-1 victory over Man Utd in the FA Cup semi-finals.

These teams look evenly matched, so we should be in for an entertaining clash this weekend.

Full of Confidence

Chaotic defending has been the hallmark of Man Utd’s season thus far. The Red Devils have leaked 12 goals in just four games.

They are languishing in 15th place, with just six points from four games. However, they roared back to form with a 4-1 victory over Newcastle last weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will now be full of confidence after securing a famous 2-1 away win against French champions PSG on Wednesday.

Marcus Rashford was the star of the show, and Man Utd look extremely dynamic going forwards right now.

Goals on the Menu

Chelsea have kept just one clean sheet in five league games so far this season. That came in a 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace a couple of weeks ago, but it was bookended by 3-3 draws with West Brom and Southampton.

The Blues also look dangerous in attack after snapping up Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in the summer. Yet they have conceded nine goals in five games, and defensive shortcomings could derail their chances of winning the title.

Chelsea drew 0-0 with Sevilla in midweek, but that was mainly a result of turgid football from Sevilla. Man Utd should be a lot more ambitious.

We should therefore be in for an open, entertaining game, between two teams that really struggle to keep a clean sheet.

Tip: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals

Stake: One Unit
