BIG
Big have been playing very consistently, winning 11 of their past 14 best of 3 series and although a lot of these matches are against teams you would expect them to beat, the fact that they have all been online shows just how consistent they are currently. Some of their most recent wins were against Mousesports and MAD Lions, two teams with much better rankings, which are two impressive results.
BIG have had quite some time with this 5-man roster, their last changes were made in January when they picked up ‘k1to’ and ‘syrsoN’ so they are comfortable going into any match and it shows by the results they have been getting. ‘tabseN’ has also been in excellent form recently which will likely continue in this match as it is the grand final of the tournament.
Alternate Attax
Alternate Attax have also been playing to a good standard for the level of CS they play, with wins recently against Heretics and Sprout in best of 3 matches, which are good wins for them. Alternate Attax last roster change was in March when ‘DuDe’ was moved to an analyst role and was replaced by ‘ScrunK’ who is now the in-game leader/coach for Alternate Attax. This was only supposed to be a temporary change until they found a suitable 5th player for the team.
Alternate Attax have now had a couple of months with this current roster so they will all be comfortable in their roles. This will be one of the tougher matches Alternate Attax will have to play in recent times as individually Alternate Attax’s players will struggle against the calibre of players on BIG
My Bet Reasoning
BIG are just levels above the level what Alternate Attax are, pretty much every player individually on the side of BIG is an upgrade from Alternate Attax. I see no real punish pick here from Alternate Attax and BIG should be comfortable on any map.
If this was a game earlier in the tournament I may not take this line because it's hard to tell BIGs motivation for a tournament like Merkur Masters but now it's the final and essentially playing for $2k+ each in 1 series so they shouldn't just throw this away like a game which means nothing.
