New York Subliners
The New York Subliners go up against the Chicago Huntsmen as the opening match in Chicago’s home event. New York have a slow start to the season but look to change the course of it with a good result at this event as they have made a roster change. New York have picked up ‘Mackmelts’ who has recently turned 18 making him eligible to compete in the CoD League and after interest from multiple teams he decided to join New York as a replacement for ‘Happy’. This change is exactly what they needed to make then a contender for playoffs as Mackmelts will definitely make an impact in the server. A fresh new voice is exactly what they needed to make positive changes.
New York has improved so much with this change so expect them to perform well in this event, Mack himself has even said that he is expecting to win this event.
Chicago Huntsmen
The Chicago Huntsmen who started the season very well, winning the CDL London event are currently first in the standing on the League, however, since then their momentum has been lost and have now placed 3rd-4th in the past two events they have played, this is a team that is being held to a very high standard and are now struggling to find results. Arcity’s tweeted after their poor performance at the last event that ‘online wasn’t a problem we just don’t play right’.
My Bet Reasoning
NYSL are heavily undervalued because of performances with old rosters. This will also be NYSL first game online instead of on LAN in the COD League which I think will also play a big part in this matchup. Last weekend Chicago didn't look anywhere near as good as what they did in previous months when it was on LAN.
I'll mention the numbers again. If New York are winning more than 26.4% of the time and 47.6% of the time for the +1.5 these are both profitable bets. I don't think there's an arguement in which New York aren't breaking these numbers with MackMelts. These numbers in my opinion reflecting the line that would of been against New York with Happy.
