Cloud9

Cloud 9 who recently placed 4th at Flashpoint made qualifying for DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 look easy winning 3 matches and qualifying first through the upper bracket. 2 of these matches were against Bad News Bears and New England Whalers, both 2-0 wins. Only a few days ago Triumph’s new roster struggled against New England Whalers only winning 2-1 and lost to Bad News Bears 2-1 which puts Cloud 9 in a great position to continue their winning ways and take this match 2-0.

It is highly likely Triumph will not be able to handle the raw aim and aggression from Cloud 9 and will struggle on the tactical side too since Triumph has had so little time as this 5 man roster.

Triumph

Triumph have recently changed two players in their roster, ‘Voltage’ who was transferred to Chaos as well as their long time stand in ‘Asuna’. Triump losing their two players has resulted in them picking up ‘Curry’ and ‘Junior’ two inexperienced players.

Going into this match against Cloud9, Triumph has only played four official matches since making the drastic change to their roster and have only managed two scrape two wins out of four matches played. From watching past games Triumph have looked like they don't have much depth to their game, which is expected from any team after making so many changes in such a short amount of time. This will only get better over time but right now they look pretty flat and are just relying on firepower from players.

My Bet Reasoning

Cloud9 are now a proven team with some very good results vs high level teams, including some EU teams. On the other side we have a team that's lost one of their key players to Chaos and now have 2 new players in their starting roster who are 2 very young inexperienced players who've both shown nothing against any top level teams.

The price here on Cloud9 -1.5 is 1.9, meaning for this to be a profitable bet it needs to be winning +52.6% of the time and I believe this is case here.

Bet: Cloud9 -1.5 @ 1.90
