Faze Clan
Faze on paper performed pretty badly here at ESL Pro League only taking wins against the bottom 2 teams Virtus Pro & Tyloo. This right here is a must win game for Faze to get out of groups, a result would result in automatically not making it through.
Even though Faze Clan are needing to win this game just to make it through groups you could definitely argue they should be at the top of the group with a clean 4-0 record. Both matches vs mousesports & G2 should have been wins for Faze but unfortunately they didn't remain composed and pretty much threw away both matches vs both teams.
OG
As mentioned yesterday I thought OG looked really good in the Pro League, however all that changed yesterday. They should of lost 3-0 to a Virtus Pro team that was 0-6 in map count at the time with absolutely nothing to play for. This to me just shows they still have big holes in their game/map pool.
Aleskib had one of the worst individual performances i've seen in a very long time. He went -31 over only 3 maps and there's absolutely no reason an individual should ever perform this bad even if they do have the in game leading role.
I also mentioned the performance of Mantuu in my last article pretty much praising how well he was doing however when he went up against Jame yesterday I feel Jame exposed a few of his weaknesses and the final line was the AWPer on the side of Virtus Pro made the difference in that game and in my opinion was the reason Virtus Pro found success and ended up beating OG.
My Bet Reasoning
Map 2 will be Faze's map pick, I think they have a few maps which they could take it too and punish OG. Motivation should be high on the side of Faze knowing as long as they win this game they will get past group stages and be within the top 3. The loss to Virtus Pro was a big red flag for OG and I feel alot got exposed in that game that Faze will take through and implement into their own game today.
