Can underperforming Virtus Pro somehow upset Faze Clan?

Faze Clan

I've already talked about Faze in one of my previous blog posts however since then there's quite alot to talk about considering Faze have now lost 2 in a row.

2 days ago Faze faced up against mousesports in which they lost the game by a very narrow margin. They took down their own map pick pretty easily winning 16-14. They then narrowly missed out on winning map 2 losing 16-14 in a map they did have wrapped up. In map 3 they had a massive lead on the better side of the map (Dust 2), however once again fell short after going on a 1-10 round losing spree. Overall from this game I think they performed well considering the recent form mousesports have shown. This wasn't a disapointing loss by any means however in my opinion they should of took the win.

Yesterday they faced up against G2, another team coming into 2020 that have shown great promise and form. In map 1 on their pick after another really bad side on the favoured side of the map they narrowly missed out losing again 16-14, arguably once again they should of won this after leading 14-12 on CT Nuke but they couldn't get it done. After this they then went onto G2's best map Dust 2 and showed some great promise and won very convincingly. Once again they went the distance in the series and went onto map 3 however fell slightly short with just the individuals showing up more for G2 with Hunter putting up a very impressive 31-18(+13)

Virtus Pro

It's pointless sugar coating anything Virtus Pro have looked awful this year. They've lost multiple times to teams much worse than them that they should be easily beating.

These losses come to Cloud9 in which they got completely destroyed 16-4, 16-7. This should never happen vs a team they should be better than. A few weeks after that they lost 2-0 vs GODSENT, another team they should be beating 2-0 themselves. Another notable loss is vs MAD Lions around 1 month ago. They lost 2-1 but this was against a MAD Lions right before they dropped their in game leader Hunden, this to me is a massive red flag loss.

My Bet Reasoning

Even though they've been losing Faze have looked promising enough that I think they should be beating this Virtus Pro side 2-0.

This is also now a must win game for Faze in the ESL Pro League which you can't really value into a bet but I do think motivation should be high for Faze and they'll be taking this game very seriously knowing they need to beat Virtus Pro 2-0 here realistically.

Overall I just think Faze is the much more talanted team and I think the individuals from Faze can all show up and just completely take over a game vs a team like Virtus Pro.
