BOS Celtics @ PHI 76ers - Future nr 1 seed in the making

Philadelphia 76ers

76ers have come in to this season with high hopes. They have acquired Al Horford from the Boston Celtics, a underrated defensive player who makes his teammates better and is a defensive anchor in the paint, flexiable in the switching defense and has a good touch on the offensive end from the midrange. He will be a big factor in Phillys success this season and tonight against his old team.

Philly have a lot of firepower, Simmons, Harris, Horford and Embiid all who can get a bucket in various ways. Boston have lost their good defense in Horford and Enes Kanter is going to get abused all night long when he is in. Simmons/Embiid pick and roll, Simmons/Horford pick and pop, like I said the 76ers have a whole arsenal of things they can do to this team. 76ers are a great team and I don't think they need to much time to get to know eachother on the court with the new addition Horford like Boston do with Kemba Walker and sophmore player Robert Williams who has been injured. This Philly team have a lot of promise and I really like what they can do both sides of the court.

Joel Embiid will get touches in the post against a weak Cs team inside, I think he will have a great game togheter with Ben Simmons who also is a paint scoring guy (hope he can drain some threes tonight). Both have good matchups, even if Williams is a good defender I can see him having a tough time holding Embiid. Simmons have Walker on him and he is not a good defender by any means, Hayward guarding Harris... 76ers have the upper hand in this game on both ends of the floor and I can see them having a good lead going into the 4th.

Boston Celtics

Boston has a new team in plays, new players on important places in a basketball team and it's going to take some time to figure things out. Kemba Walker will be a good Brad Stevens system player but he needs to learn how to move in this system, know what his teammates need from him and know how they move in the offense. 76ers have a good defense in place and Horford who know the ins and outs of this offense and I think the Celtics will have a bit of growing pains this early in the season. Celtics have a good foundation to build upon and they hope Jayson Tatum can take the next step in becoming a franchise player and the player Boston really needs going forward.

Celtics have a intresting bench, a better bench then the 76ers have, can they go on a run or two to disrupt the 76ers? Rookie Carsen Edwards seems like a nice spark off the bench, togheter with Marcus Smart they can maybe form a great backcourt duo. Even if Philly can and will play starters with the bench guys I think Celtics can have a good chance of getting good runs in from the bench unit.

Boston like I said is not a good paint protecting team, but they have great preimeter defenders in Jaylen Brown, Tatum and Marcus Smart. This will be a key to winning this game. Defend with your life, Stevens have had a good scheme in place these years he has been in charge in Boston and a key factor is defense in his system and I think if they want to win they need to be a hundred precent on the defensive end tonight.
