Due to all leagues restarting at about the same time, we're currently in a state of "oh look, there's footie everywhere!" It's almost hard to wade through it all - so here's a quick preview of what's interesting this week.

Premier League

Of course, Liverpool have already won the Premiership for all intents and purposes. But there is still the matter of relegation and playing in Europe.

First out on Wednesday, we have Manchester United v Sheffield United in what could well be a decisive moment this season. Home win, and the gap is five points - but if the away team can run with it, they're suddenly ahead.

Five points is not quite as much, however, when you're Chelsea playing Manchester City on Thursday and there are teams hunting your Champions League spot - so that match could well be the highlight of the week.

Saturday rounds the action off with a banger: Wolverhampton are competing for an Europa or even Champions League place, while Aston Villa have to fight tooth and nail to stay up. We've got odds & stats on Villa v Wolves right here

La Liga

If the title race in England is dead, it sure is alive in Spain! And guess what, Real Madrid and Barcelona are both in contention. At the moment of this writing, they're at 65p each, with nearly identical goal diffs.

First off, though, let's mention Sevilla welcoming Real Valladolid on Friday in a match that should be a walk in the park for the home team, who need the three points to stay in third. Valladolid, however, have been much better post-break than expected, and they're well aware that a short string of crap results could mean relegation for them.

So what's in store for the dynamic duo in the top? Well, Barcelona is about to start playing Athletic Bilbao as this is being written, so that leaves three more matches this week:

  • Wednesday: Real Madrid v Mallorca, in which anything but three easy points to Real would be an enormous upset.
  • Saturday: Celta de Vigo - Barcelona, and honestly, the Galicians could be more than the visitors bargained for.
  • Sunday: Real Madrid go to Barcelona, albeit to play Espanyol. The latter are at the very bottom of the table, and we're pretty fond of the odds on Zidane's team.

FA Cup

More England? More England! We've reached the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, with only Premier League teams remaining.

The first game is held on Saturday, and it's Norwich v Manchester United - the worst well-playing Premiership team of all time vs Ole and the lads. In fairness, United probably do deserve being the massive favourites that the bookies hold them as... and they're 7-1 on aggregate vs Norwich in the league. Still, anybody up for a thrill might want to look at the Canaries.

Sunday, then, brings us the remaining lineup - one match at a time, to maximise tv ad revenue.

Sheffield United v Arsenal go first, and presumably the question on everybody's minds is whether David Luiz is going to play, in which case we'll be putting our mortgage on the Blades.

Leicester v Chelsea - blue against blue, and third against fourth in the league. Don't expect anything in particular from this game, because, frankly: anything might happen.

And finally, if you enjoy astronomical odds, Newcastle are playing Manchester City in an attempt to stop the latter from grabbing their seventh overall title and hence passing the Magpies in the all-time winners table.

Make sure to review all of our FA Cup odds, and we'll probably get some special offers to share with you if you're in the UK as the week progresses. The enhanced odds on Newcastle to beat City are definitely going to be bonkers.

Serie A

There are some very, very mixed feelings in Bergamo, where the virus first broke out in real numbers in Europe. Still, the league goes on, and Atalanta v Lazio is likely to offer some weird odds even as kickoff approaches on Wednesday. The home team beat Sassuolo convincingly and are looking to consolidate their hold on the fourth and final CL spot. Lazio, meanwhile, desperately need a win to stay close to Juve at the top. Even so, Atalanta are currently odds favourites. Justified?

Speaking of Juventus, the division leaders will be taking on Lecce on Friday in what should be an easy match. But Lecce are desperate and we expect them to at least match Juve in ferocity, if perhaps not in ability. Should be worth watching even under the assumption that the lead is extended!

We have loads of info on Italian football, including Serie A odds, the Serie A league table, and obviously the full Serie A playing schedule.

Bundesliga

Finally, the final round of the Bundesliga is a bit lackluster, with Bayern München having secured the title early, as is tradition. But there are a few matches worth looking at.

In the Battle for the Champions League, there are three teams within three points of each other, but RB Leipzig is way, way ahead on goal difference, so they're practically in the clear. Instead, it's Mönchengladbach v Hertha Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen v Mainz that will be deciding the fourth place. We have 'gladbach at 62 points and Leverkusen at 60. Neither opposition has anything at all to play for.

And way down below, we have Union Berlin v Fortuna Düsseldorf and Werder Bremen v Köln. Düsseldorf are at 30 points, -28 goal diff - and Bremen at 28 points, -32 goal diff... the worst placed of them is relegated automatically, while the better team gets another chance to stay up against the third-placed team in the 2. Bundesliga.

All Bundesliga matches this week are played on Saturday at the same time, 14:30 GMT / 15:30 CET.
